About Us
The Black Owned Media Alliance (BOMA) was founded to provide businesses, ad agencies, and buyers with effective advertising and marketing strategies that amplify the voices of the Black Diaspora. By fostering meaningful connections between brands and Black audiences, we help companies increase sales, build loyalty, and drive lasting impact.
History
Established in 2015, BOMA was founded by Dexter A. Bridgeman, in collaboration with Bobby Henry, Tony Lesesne, Woodie Lesesne, Jessica Garrett Modkins, Garth C. Reeves III, Debra Toomer, Sandy Walker, and Peter Webley, to strengthen the presence, sustainability, and financial growth of Black-owned media in South Florida. Since its inception, BOMA has evolved into a powerful media collective with an expanding influence. From shaping impactful marketing campaigns to driving community initiatives that emphasize voting, healthcare awareness, economic empowerment, and brand engagement, BOMA is committed to advocacy, visibility, and equitable access to advertising resources for Black-owned media.
